recenlty i purchased a new compaq pc for my home and when i start using Microsoft word i find out that i had 60 days trial version of microsoft office 2003 already installed. Sooner i realized that i have to purchase it i start looking my wallet for how much i have to spent..... turned out it's costing me $149 to buy office 2003 Student teacher edition which comes with word 2003,excel 2003, outlook 2003 and powerpoint 2003. It's way too much for me just to use these office tools at my home pc. Luckily i find out i can have office suite installed on my pc for free. There is free open source project code named "open office", where you can download free office suite which comes with word,excel,powerpoint tools . I was able to download it free and have it installed on my pc with in 15 minutes and i was amazed to see that i was able to open Microsoft word/excel files and was able to save files in microsoft format for free .........
